Boatwork Assist documentation

Boatwork Assist is a managed AI agent platform built for marine businesses — dealers, yards, brokers, surveyors, and service shops. An agent works alongside your team: answering email, managing the calendar, producing documents, and following the playbook you give it, as a knowledgeable colleague would.

These pages are general documentation about the platform — how it works, how we protect your data, and the controls you keep. If you are an IT or security reviewer evaluating Boatwork Assist for your organization, this is where the questions that come up most often are answered.

The short version

  • You connect the accounts, and you stay the owner. An agent reaches your email, calendar, and files only through connections you approve in your own Google or Microsoft account — and you can withdraw that access at any time.
  • Access is delegated and least-privilege. An agent acts only within the specific mailboxes and files you connect, never across your whole tenant.
  • Credentials are encrypted and never sit on the agent. Long-lived credentials stay encrypted on our servers; the agent only ever holds a short-lived access token it fetches on demand.
  • Organizations are isolated. One organization’s data and agents are walled off from every other organization on the platform.
  • A human stays in control. Every agent runs under a human supervisor and an organization policy that caps what it can do.
