How knowledge sharing works
Boatwork Assist organizes what an agent knows at two levels — the organization and the individual agent — with strict isolation between organizations. The goal is that a team of agents can share a common foundation while each agent still has its own context, and that no organization can ever see another’s information.
Organization level
Settings you configure once for your organization are available to the agents within it: the services you connect, the knowledge sources and skills you set up, and the security policy that bounds every agent. This shared foundation means you do not have to reconfigure each agent from scratch, and your agents work from a consistent picture of the business.
Agent level
On top of the organization foundation, each agent has its own context: the specific mailboxes and calendar it is connected to, its own working memory, and its persona and playbook. One agent’s mailbox access is not automatically another agent’s — an agent reaches only the accounts that were connected to it.
How an agent builds context
An agent builds its understanding from the sources you connect — recent email, calendar, and documents — together with the knowledge and instructions you give it. That context is what lets it answer accurately and act like a colleague who already knows the account, rather than asking your team for information the inbox already contains. Isolation between organizations
Your organization’s data, credentials, and agent context are isolated from every other organization on the platform. Agents never see across that boundary. Knowledge sharing happens within your organization, by your configuration — never between customers.
You own your data
You remain the owner and data controller for your business information and for any customer information your agent handles. Boatwork processes that data to operate the platform as directed by you, and for no unrelated purpose.
